Welcome to The Pickle Guys.

At The Pickle Guys, we’re proud to carry on a tradition that dates back over a century. Nestled in the heart of the Lower East Side, we’re the last standing pickle store on Essex Street, a neighborhood once known for its bustling pickle markets. Since 1910, Essex Street has been home to numerous pickle shops, and today, we are honored to keep that legacy alive.

With over 100 years of combined pickling experience among our owners, we craft our pickles the old-fashioned way, using an authentic Eastern European recipe that dates back to 1910, passed down through generations. Our barrel-cured pickles sit in a natural salt brine, infused with garlic and spices, for up to three months without any preservatives, just like mom used to make.

But we’re not just about pickles.  From old-world classics to bold new creations, we love pushing the limits of what can be pickled. Alongside favorites like our classic Kosher Sour Dill Pickles and old school traditional Fresh Sauerkraut and Russell Borscht, you’ll find inventive twists such as Pickled Pineapple, Pickled Mango, Pickled Brussels Sprouts, Pickled Apples, and Pickled Daikon. And every spring, two weeks before Passover, you’ll find us outside grinding fresh horseradish, keeping a timeless Lower East Side tradition alive.

At The Pickle Guys, we’re all about preserving the taste of the past while offering a modern twist on old classics. Stop by and taste over a century of pickling tradition for yourself!

And we are Certified Kosher.
